We entered this Korean restaurant by absolute fluke looking for a place to eat on Bloor-Yonge. They have your offerings you'd expect at most Korean restaurants but they also offer an a la carte grill option here if you're feeling extra hungry which I would come back to try again. We got the chicken hot bowl which came with an array of your classic cold dishes and a beef broth - their kimchi is to die for. The chicken itself was delicious but came out piping hot accompanied with a fried egg, dried seaweed, fried bean sprouts and carrots and rice. Though we did get the spicy it didn't have much of a kick but hot sauce on the side always is a quick fix. If you're in the area and hit with a sudden craving for Korean food, this is the spot to go with the good food and good calming tunes.

Terrible service. Had to keep asking for water and side dishes and only got one water bottle for a group of nine. Honestly not sure why this place HAD customers in the first place due to: extremely slow speed of service, terrible service and frankly, the food was quite average.
Waiters gave us a lot of attitude when we ordered and wasn't even prompt. Food was ok but why did it take so long to come? It's kbbq, the food is raw lol. -

The service here was fabulous when my friends and I went this past Sunday. For a busy Thanksgiving weekend we received our food in a timely manner and the servers were really helpful in following certain diet restrictions. The food portions were good and the side dishes are like any other Korean restaurants. Definitely would come again.

The only thing I can say about Kobi is that it's extremely average. Food, service, ambience; all mediocre. I never had any particular bad experience at this place except for that one time when I walked in at 11:00pm, drenched head to toe in snowrain, hoping to warm up with a good bowl of soup, they told me the kitchen was closed. (And so I had to walk home and eat instant noodle, it's not the same ain'it).
Otherwise the place is just, well, another korean restaurant. If you're in the neighbourhood and starving for a bite, I'd recommend it. Otherwise Korea Town on bloor west has a much better selection (and food quality). -

We came here when Toronto was in midst of a heatwave. The restaurant is located in the Downtown area between Yonge and Charles. Unfortunately, this restaurant's air conditioning is not very strong and it has poor ventilation for their KBBQ. After a while, it became a sweat box. Service was solid and consistent throughout our meal. This place is not ideal for large parties.
We decided to forego on the KNBQ and ordered their Kimchi stews along with their bulgogi. We got the Korean pancakes free of charge. The flavours were solid on the Kimchi Chigae and the portion was just right. The bulgogi was on the sweeter side too.
Not a bad choice, away from my usual North York Korean joints.
